Yi Tang is an Assistant Professor in the School of Public Administration. His research interests lie at the intersection of health information technologies (IT) and healthcare service delivery. His recent research – situated in the context of mental (behavioral) healthcare operations – investigates whether and under what conditions emerging health IT (e.g., mobile apps, chatbots, telehealth) can be leveraged to deliver effective and equitable mental health services, especially to the underserved population. He is also investigating DEI-related issues in broader contexts such as U.S. federal government procurement. Yi received his PhD in Business Administration from Carlson School of Management and his MS in Statistics from School of Statistics at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities.
