Agustin Leon-Moreta received his BS in Economics from the Catholic University of Ecuador and his Master’s and PhD degrees in Public Administration and Policy from the Askew School at Florida State University. A former public service practitioner, he has extensive experience in public sector administration. He has published research in the fields of urban affairs, local public finance, and state and local governance. He is a former Fulbright Fellow and the recipient of the Florida State University Dissertation Research Grant, the American Political Science Association’s Volcker Junior Scholar Award, and the Public Administration Review’s Brownlow Award for the best article coauthored with a practitioner. He has received the University of New Mexico Teaching Fellowship and multiple University and College research grants.
