2023 Arthur A. Blumenfeld Endowed Lecture Dinner and VIP Networking Reception

We honor Art Blumenfeld by recognizing the dedication to public service of Speaker of the House Javier Martinez, recipient of this year's Blumenfeld Award.

SPA will be hosting two separate events honoring Arthur A. Blumenfeld on Oct. 16, 2023: the VIP Networking Reception Fundraiser and the Arthur A. Blumenfeld Endowed Lecture Dinner & Award.

Completing the below RSVP forms are necessary to attend either event. If planning to attend both events, you must complete the below RSVP forms separately. The VIP Networking Reception Fundraiser requires a $60 per person ticket purchase.

The VIP networking reception with this year’s Blumenfeld Endowed Lecture Series & Award recipient offers an opportunity to support the School of Public Administration's mission to prepare the next generation of New Mexico’s public servants and leaders.

Endowed Lecture Dinner & Award

All proceeds from the event will support the Blumenfeld Endowment and Students in SPA’s Public Service & Leadership Programs.

Cost: Free with RSVP
Where: UNM Student Union Building (SUB), Ballroom A & B, Bldg. 60 (on campus map), Albuquerque, NM 87131
When: Monday, October 16, 2023, 7-9pm

Arthur A. Blumenfeld Endowed Lecture Series & Award

The Arthur A. Blumenfeld Endowed Lecture Series & Award honors the life and work of Art Blumenfeld, former national president of the Government Finance Officers Association and former Chief Administrative Officer for the City of Albuquerque. Art was dedicated to furthering best practices in public finance and facilitating excellence in public service.

This year, we honor Art by recognizing the dedication to public service of Speaker of the House Javier Martinez. Speaker Martinez works tirelessly to promote government transparency, early childhood education, equitable tax reform, and renewable energy.
