Alumni of UNM School of Public Administration, completed MPA in 2017 with over 29 years of experience in public education and municipal government. Currently serving as the Human Resources Director of Pueblo of Zuni and is the former Coordinator of Personnel for Gallup McKinley County Schools and Human Resources Director for the City of Gallup.  Abeita has previously served as a Board Member for the Battered Families Services, the Rehoboth McKinley Christian Health Care Services Board of Trustees, and the NM Indigenous Women’s Resources Center.
