Posted: October 2017
In the beautiful and productive news of the UNM School of Public Administration (SPA), we had the honor to welcome and meet with our partners from Capital University of Economics and Business (CUEB) in Beijing, China.
Present was Professor Bruce J. Perlman, SPA Director, Zhang Guoshan, Dean of the College of Urban Economics and Public Administration (CUEPA) of CUEB, Weidong Zhang, Director of CUEB’s Global Education Institute, Dr. Shuyang Peng (not pictured), SPA Assistant Professor, and Danielle Gilliam of UNM’s Global Education Office.
The Dean and Director of SPA discussed the development of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The MOU would cover collaboration in research and teaching between CUEPA and SPA and a program for CUEB guest students to study at the SPA. Assistant Professor Peng is assisting Director Perlman with the development of this guest student program.
CUEB’s delegation visited some other U.S. universities and stopped at UNM to visit SPA and ASM. This meeting was part of SPA’s ongoing efforts to capitalize on its international recognition and develop partnerships with Public Administration programs in other countries to provide opportunities for students and faculty to internationalize their studies.
