Albert H. Rosenthal Endowed Professorship in Public Administration
This endowment was established in 2007 to support or assist in supporting distinguished professor(s) in the School of Public Administration, based on merit, as determined by the UNM Provost or his/her designee.
The recipient must be a full-time employee of the UNM and have demonstrated merit in public administration and/or public administration of science policy.
Dr. Rosenthal (pictured left) had a long and distinguished career in public service in government and in academia. He was a regional director with the U.S. Department of Health, Education, and Welfare, and was the director of the Program for Advanced Study in Public Science Policy and Administration at UNM, which eventually matured into the School of Public Administration, which he directed until his retirement in 1980. Dr. Rosenthal passed away on January 17, 2004.
