PAGSA
The Public Administration Graduate Student Association (PAGSA) exists to represent and serve graduate students in the School of Public Administration and other graduate students enrolled (degree and non-degree) in public administration courses without regard to UNM campus attendance. PAGSA sponsors activities to provide opportunities for students' academic, professional, and social growth.
PAGSA representatives work with other graduate and professional programs and their students through the Graduate and Professional Student Association (GPSA), to create and pass legislation that focuses on problems affecting graduate students. Elaine Suazo-Miller

With over a decade of experience in various professional capacities within esteemed institutions such as the New Mexico State Legislature and the U.S. Department of the Interior, Elaine is a versatile and results-oriented professional committed to making impactful contributions. Currently pursuing a master’s degree in the School of Public Administration at the University of New Mexico, Elaine hails from the Pueblo of Santa Clara. Her journey began with a Bachelor of Arts in History and a minor in Asian Studies from the University of New Mexico, solidifying her academic foundation. Throughout her career, she has excelled in program management, stakeholder engagement, and tribal outreach, spearheading initiatives such as comprehensive Native American voter outreach programs. As Elaine continues her studies and seeks opportunities to support marginalized communities, she remains dedicated to upholding the values of respect, integrity, and excellence in all her endeavors.

Christina Jeter’s passion for education, advocacy, and public service reflects her commitment to positively impacting the lives of children and families in her community. Christina Jeter has bachelor’s degree in journalism & mass communication from the University of New Mexico, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. With nearly two decades of dedicated service, she has been an integral part of the Western Heights Learning Center, currently serving as the Executive Director. In addition to her impactful work at the learning center, Christina actively engages in early childhood advocacy efforts through the New Mexico Child Care and Education Association. Alongside her professional commitments, Christina is currently in her fifth semester of the Master of Public Administration (MPA) program at UNM, further enhancing her skills and knowledge in leadership and public service. Beyond her academic pursuits and professional roles, she finds joy in her role as a spouse and a parent, managing a blended family of five children and three dogs.

Tiffany Angel is a native New Mexican, born and raised here in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
She attended Highland High School and received an associate’s degree from CNM before completing her Bachelor’s of Liberal Arts at UNM. She is currently in her final year in the Master of Public Administration Program and will be graduating in December of 2024. She ran a nonprofit for three years prior to joining the judiciary in 2014. She has worked as a courtroom clerk, she ran the homeless court program at Metro Court for three years, and now works as a judge’s assistant. She has two teenage children, enjoys live music, hiking, paddle boarding, roller skating, and traveling.
Joseph Conteh

Meet Joseph Conteh, a passionate graduate student pursuing a master’s degree in public administration. With a deep-rooted interest in public service and a drive to make a positive impact on communities, Joseph's focus lies in sustainable economic development policies in developing countries. Hailing from Freetown, Sierra Leone, in West Africa, Joseph completed his undergraduate studies in Applied Accounting before embarking on his current academic journey.
Prior to joining graduate school, Joseph worked as a dedicated project officer for a community-based organization in Sierra Leone. His role involved implementing projects and programs tailored to uplift vulnerable communities and individuals in rural areas. In addition to his professional experiences, Joseph has served as a Non-State Actor on Public Financial Management, an Accounting and Mathematics High School Teacher, and has actively volunteered and assumed leadership roles in various community, student union, and religious organizations.
Joseph firmly believes in the power of effective collaborative strategy implementation programs. He is thrilled to contribute his expertise to furthering the interests and welfare of graduate students in the School of Public Administration.
He currently serves as the Treasurer for the Public Administration Graduate Student Association (PAGSA).
